ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture uses tiny sterile needles along points along meridians to help the body improve health and treat illness. Acupuncture (or acupressure for anyone who chooses not to be needled) can be a part of treatment for any health improvement or illness.

Competency in acupuncture requires hundreds of hours in training and is part of the 3500+ hour master degree program that is necessary to be a Licensed Acupuncturist in Virginia, in addition to certification with a national board and licensure by the State Board of Medicine.

CLINICAL HERBAL
THERAPY

Asian medicine has been helping people have great health for at least 2200 years. An herbalist trained in Asian herbal therapy is able to use formulas that have thousands of years of proven use and custom blend those same herbs to exactly fit your health condition.

Unlike herbal remedies you may find at a health food store or read about on the internet, clinical herbal therapy follows exacting principles of medicine and is not one-size-fits all. Asian herbal protocols are for patterns of functioning rather than specific symptoms, so two people with a similar issue, (for example, migraines or IBS) might receive completely different treatment.

COACHING

Coaching is helping clients find the answers that resonate inside themselves to move towards being the kind of people they want to be.

In a coach session, you should arrive at your solution yourself; the coach's job is to use conversation, insight, and information to help you find the right decision for you.

In Slow Paths Coaching, we use principles from Asian medicine, mindfulness, and interpersonal neurobiology to help you find your own path to get where you want to go.
